Our Mission
Forces & Families United exists to support and strengthen the wellbeing of Service and ex-service personnel and their families including partners, carers, widows and loved ones whose needs are too often unseen, unheard or unsupported.
We strengthen families affected by military life through accessible activities, peer support and community-led initiatives that recognise the shared sacrifices of service life. We reduce isolation, rebuild connections and create safe, welcoming spaces where families can come together, feel understood and receive support in ways that work for them.
At its heart, our work is about connection, confidence, growth and wellbeing. Helping Forces families feel supported and thrive together.
Our Vision
A future where Forces families are recognised, valued and supported in their own right, not left to cope alone with the lasting impact of military life.
We envision connected families, confident women and resilient children who feel understood, supported early and able to build healthy, fulfilling lives together within their communities.
Our Core Values
Our values guide everything we do. They shape how we listen, how we support, and how we create safe welcoming spaces. Together they help us build environments where Forces families feel understood, valued and able to thrive together.
Families First – We put partners, carers and children at the heart of our work, recognising that service life affects the whole family.
Connection & Belonging – We create safe, welcoming spaces where the whole family feel accepted, supported and connected.
Inclusion & Accessibility – We remove barriers so all Forces families can take part, feel valued and belong.
Respect for Lived Experience – We listen first without judgement or pressure.
Compassion with Purpose – We lead with empathy and kindness, while providing clear, confident and intentional support
Integrity & Trust – We act ethically, transparently and responsibly, earning trust through our action
